Pastor Joe and Mrs. Gwynn Browne have dedicated over 30 years of service to the Los Angeles community.

Their vision is to cultivate a dynamic culture of Christian discipleship within our congregations. They aim to equip servant leaders to strengthen the body of Christ, foster authentic Christian communities, expand the Kingdom of God, bridge suburban and urban divides, and nurture healthy environments.

Their mission is to connect individuals eager to make a difference with those seeking transformation in their lives, inspired by Isaiah 61:1-3. They are committed to community care through various initiatives, including food programs, youth outreach, and more.

Thanksgiving Celebration - 11/28/2024

Thanksgiving is a special time for bringing families and friends together. Unfortunately, not everyone is blessed with family and friends to make this holiday special. Our Thanksgiving Day celebration brings the community together in response to many broken and hurting families.

We serve at many different locations plus a team delivers to the homebound. Loneliness can be overwhelming, not only for those in physical need, but also for many people who are new to the city or far from family. Your participation not only makes this event possible, but creates a festive and memorable occasion for everyone who gathers to celebrate. There will be many activities for all ages to make this a wonderful day. What better way to build relationships and change perspectives that coming together, working together and sharing conversation over a special meal. We pray you will join us. Our goal is serve 5,000 meals with your help and support.

For just $5.00, you can provide a delicious Thanksgiving meal (with all the fixings) for a person in need.

Thanksgiving Day Volunteer & Donation Needs

Donation Needs:

  • Turkeys- maximum 20 pound weight

  • Yams (canned) #10 cans

  • Green beans #10 cans

  • Cranberries (small cans)

  • Cases of bottled drinking

  • water

  • Desserts

  • Plastic

  • tablecloths/decorations

  • Kitchen towels/cleaning rags

  • Plastic plates, napkins, and utensils

  • Pop-up Canopies

  • Family Friendly Live

  • Entertainment

  • Bottled Water

We are looking for Volunteers for the following days:

  • Saturday, November 23, 2024

  • Monday, November 25, 2024

  • Tuesday, November 26, 2024

  • Wednesday, November 27, 2024

We have the following shifts available on those days:

  • 8am-12pm

  • 1-5pm

  • 6-9pm (call before coming to volunteer evening shift 323-291-9636)

On Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2024, we can use your help with:

  • Set up/ decoration and Food prep:

8:00am meet at FICM

  • Drivers with vehicles:

10am meet at FICM to deliver food to sites

  • Serving: 12pm-2pm

  • Clean up: 2pm-4pm at FICM
